Details of the Financial Assistance under Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana

On the occasion of the 78th Himachal Day celebrations at Kilad in Pangi Valley, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh handed out amounts under this scheme to a total of 1,926 women. Each beneficiary received a total of Rs. 4,500 covering three monthly payments as part of the scheme’s support.

This distribution amounted to a total fund disbursement of Rs. 86.67 lakh for these installments. The government strongly encourages other remaining eligible women in the Pangi Valley region to complete the necessary formalities to avail of these benefits.

New Eligibility and Inclusion Criteria for Beneficiaries

Chief Minister announced expansion of scheme coverage to include women who turn 21 years old between January 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Additionally, domestic helpers are now also eligible to receive benefits under this yojana. This wider inclusion is part of the aim to empower more women economically and socially across the state.

Recognition of Government Staff and Police Excellence

Alongside the scheme disbursement, various government employees from education, healthcare, administrative, and police sectors received honors for their outstanding service in the region. Recognized individuals included teachers, doctors, principals, tehsildars, college professors, and police officers contributing positively to community development.

Best Performing Police Stations Honored

For the year 2024, the state also acknowledged top police stations for crime control, investigations, and overall performance. Bilaspur Sadar Police Station, BSL Colony Police Station in Mandi, and Damtal Police Station in Kangra were awarded for their exemplary work. The Women’s Police Station in Una was declared the best women’s police station in the entire state.

The Himachal Day celebration program also featured vibrant cultural performances. The Chief Minister presented awards to parade participants and cultural teams for their remarkable displays that showcased the rich traditions and spirit of Himachal Pradesh.
