Indores Eighth Straight Win as Cleanest City
Indore has taken the top spot once again, making it the eighth straight year as the cleanest city in India. Factors behind this long-term cleanliness include good waste management, citizen involvement, and ongoing urban sanitation programs.
New Cities and Rising Clean Cities

Special Categories: Ganga Towns, Cantonment Boards, Safai Mitra Suraksha, and Mahakumbh Awards
Targeted awards recognize cities and towns handling unique sanitation challenges. For example, Prayagraj was named the Best Ganga Town, while Secunderabad Cantonment won Best Cantonment Board. GVMC Visakhapatnam, Jabalpur, and Gorakhpur earned the ‘Best SaifaiMitra Surakshit Shehar’ award, focusing on safety and respect for sanitation workers.
