New Mid-Day Meal Rates Under PM POSHAN Scheme in Goa

To improve the mid-day meal program, the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, has announced a change in the meal cost effective from May 1, 2025. These changes apply to everyone involved in providing meals including Parent Teacher Associations, Self Help Groups, and Mahila Mandals in government and aided schools across the state. Schools and meal providers like Self Help Groups and Mahila Mandals must stick to the new cost from May 1, 2025. Compliance is being checked closely to keep clarity and make the program work well.

The circular was signed by Director of Education Shaikh R.S. and shared with key education officials including the Directors of Education for North, Central, and South regions, Assistant Directors of Education (ADEIs) for all talukas, and the Director of Information Technology so the information is available online.
