NEEEV Scheme Launches Entrepreneurship Education in Delhi Schools for Classes VII-XII

NEEEV Scheme introduces entrepreneurship education for classes VII-XII in Delhi government schools, aligning with NEP 2020 to foster innovation and startup skills.

  • NEEEV Scheme brings entrepreneurship education into Delhi government schools for classes VII to XII, matching NEP 2020.
  • All school heads must attend orientation sessions by SCERT to make sure the program runs smoothly, along with appointing coordinators and innovation councils.
  • Key programs like NEEEV Dialogue and Startup Stormers encourage and financially support young student entrepreneurs.

New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem & Vision (NEEEV) Scheme has officially started in Delhi government schools, offering entrepreneurship education to students from classes VII to XII. This program matches the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to develop a startup mindset while teaching young learners the skills they need to innovate and build lasting ventures.

Putting the NEEEV Scheme into Action in Delhi Schools

To get things going, all school principals and heads across Delhi must attend an orientation program by July 24. This required training, organised by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), makes sure school leaders understand how to carry out the entrepreneurship curriculum well and support their students through any challenges.

Orientation Sessions for School Principals and Heads

The orientation sessions give detailed guidance on the NEEEV Scheme’s goals, curriculum, and teaching methods. SCERT’s expert trainers share strategies for school heads to include entrepreneurship education in their daily teaching. This training is important for a smooth rollout across Delhi’s wide school network.

Role of NEEEV School Program Coordinators and Innovation Councils

After orientation, each school will choose a NEEEV School Program Coordinator. This coordinator plays an important role in checking how the scheme is going and managing entrepreneurship activities at school. An online portal will be launched soon to help coordinators track student participation and project progress.

Also, every school will set up a School Innovation Council (SIC) led by the principal. These councils will oversee all entrepreneurship activities and review student projects, building a creative and enterprising community in each school.

Entrepreneurship Curriculum for Classes VII to XII

Students will follow a full entrepreneurship curriculum blended into their regular coursework. This gives them regular exposure and hands-on learning throughout the year.

Main Topics in the Curriculum

The curriculum introduces key ideas like the startup ecosystem, idea generation techniques, prototype making, funding methods, and basics of business management. These topics are suited for each age group, encouraging students to think critically and creatively about turning ideas into real businesses.

Weekly Sessions and Faculty Participation

Assigned faculty members hold regular weekly sessions focused on learning by doing. Through these sessions, students build practical skills and knowledge, preparing them to handle real entrepreneurial challenges.

Flagship Programs: NEEEV Dialogue and Startup Stormers

The scheme includes exciting key programs to motivate students more. NEEEV Dialogue is a twice-a-year speaker series where entrepreneurs, incubators, and industry experts meet students, share experiences, and spark new ideas.

Startup Stormers is a competition platform for students from Class IX onwards, where creative teams can show their prototypes. Selected teams may get financial help to improve and launch their startups, giving a real-world push to their entrepreneurial journey.

Background and Growth of Entrepreneurship Education in Delhi

Entrepreneurship education in Delhi has grown steadily. In 2019-20, the Aam Aadmi Party government started the entrepreneurship curriculum that included Business Blasters. This program gave seed funding to student ventures, offering practical business experience and laying the groundwork for the bigger NEEEV Scheme today.

With NEEEV now active, Delhi schools will become centers for innovative thinking and youth entrepreneurship, building a strong base for future leaders and job creators.
