On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, unveiled the new ‘BETI Scheme’ during the ‘Maa Bahin Mahasammelan’ held in Patna. This scheme aims to provide essential facilities for the education, employment, and overall development of daughters born in Bihar.

This initiative is set to offer world-class education and training to the daughters of Bihar, enabling them to become self-reliant and secure employment opportunities.

Additional Promises for Women

Tejashwi Yadav emphasized that with the formation of a Grand Alliance government, special measures will be put in place to support women:

  • Increased honorarium and regularization for ‘Jeevika Didi’.

Critique of Current Government

Yadav criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, pointing out that despite nearly two decades in power, no major industries have established in Bihar. He described soaring unemployment and inflation, making it difficult for families to sustain their living.

Tejashwi Yadav appealed to the women in attendance to pledge to remove the NDA government in the upcoming Assembly elections. He encouraged them to promote the ‘Maa Bahin Maan Yojana’ and contribute towards forming a new government in Bihar.
