What are PM Awas Yojana News Rules?
The City Project Officer of Rohtak, Jagdish Chandra, has explained that the government has clarified rules based on seven main points:
- Permanent Housing Criteria: Homes with concrete roofs and walls made of bricks or cement will be included in the permanent housing category.
- Semi-Permanent Categories: Houses with roofs made from girders or mud fall into this category.
- Kachcha Housing: This includes structures made from bamboo, plastic, or similar materials.
It’s crucial to note that residents of illegal colonies and encroached areas will not qualify for this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
To be eligible for the PM Awas Yojana, applicants must:
– Have never availed benefits from any other government housing scheme.
– Apply within one of the proposed categories and undergo a physical verification by the government to assess their living situation.
If any misinformation is found, the application may be cancelled.
For individuals residing on ancestral land in Lal Dora areas without ownership documentation, they can submit a property ID obtained from municipal authorities to avail the benefits of the scheme.
