This last-mile outreach scheme aims to spread awareness, speed up housing delivery, and make sure urban beneficiaries get full support. The campaign also works with other government schemes to give more benefits to urban families looking for affordable housing.

Angikaar 2025 is made to speed up PMAY-U 2.0 by focusing on raising awareness, checking applications quickly, and finishing houses that have already been approved. It targets urban local bodies across the country to make sure affordable housing benefits reach the right people efficiently.

Objectives and Outreach Methods

The campaign aims to spread awareness about PMAY-U 2.0, speed up application checks, and finish houses already approved under the scheme. It uses door-to-door visits, community gatherings, and public events to actively involve citizens and stakeholders.

Working Together with Other Government Schemes

Angikaar 2025 also promotes working together with schemes like the Credit Risk Guarantee Fund Trust for Low Income Housing (CRGFTLIH) and PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. These connections provide extra financial security and free electricity benefits to PMAY-U beneficiaries, improving the overall support for urban housing.

Implementation Timeline and Activities

The campaign runs from 4th September 2025 to 31st October 2025, covering over 5,000 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India. It includes events like camps, loan fairs, and cultural programs to involve communities and encourage participation in the housing scheme.

PMAY-U Awas Diwas and PM Awas Mela – Shehri Events

To mark the first anniversary of PMAY-U 2.0, PMAY-U Awas Diwas will be celebrated on 17th September 2025. After that, the PM Awas Mela – Shehri will be held at district headquarters or municipal corporation levels in bigger cities. This main event will happen in two phases: from 17th to 27th September and between 16th and 31st October 2025.

These events will show the benefits of PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0, promote scheme connections, and encourage community involvement through lively activities and service platforms.

Role of Stakeholders and Government Officials

Good coordination among government officials, urban local bodies, and community members is very important for the campaign’s success.
