This newly approved Kisan Kalyan Mission seeks to bring together departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Processing, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Co-operation, and Food Civil Supplies under a unified framework for holistic farmer development.

The mission’s governing structure includes the Chief Minister as the General Assembly Chairperson and Chief Secretary as the Executive Committee Chairperson. District-level implementation will be led by District Collectors, ensuring better coordination.

  • Expand milk collection coverage to 26,000 villages through cooperative systems and increase pre-processing capacity to 50 lakh liters per day.

  • Provide 0% interest loans via Kisan Credit Card schemes to empower self-employment among fishers and farmers.
  • Increase gross value added from horticulture crops to surpass that of traditional agriculture crops and match national averages for cropping areas.
  • Double agricultural mechanization and enhance capital investment by 75% in agriculture.
  • Eliminate stubble burning (Narwai Jalana) to improve environment.
  • Adopt good agriculture practices including organic and natural farming on 10% of the total cultivated area and extend micro-irrigation to cover 20% of all farm lands.
  • Increase livestock productivity by 50% and develop a statewide network for care of stray cattle to ensure zero presence on roads.

Support for Dairy and Milk Producers – Cooperative Agreement Highlights

Cabinet noted the historic contract signed between Madhya Pradesh government and National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), facilitated by Union Minister Amit Shah. This contract enables direct purchase of milk and dairy products from farmers, boosting their income and dairy sector growth.

Objective includes boosting daily milk production capacity by 2 crore liters in next five years, backed by incentives like Rs. 5 per liter bonus and active promotion of “Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana” for increased livestock productivity.

The cabinet approved establishment of 12 new posts in Gandhi Medical College and associated hospital, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and senior residents to strengthen pediatric cardiology, neurology, and neonatology departments.

Update on Ladli Behna Yojana Installments

Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, the installment disbursement date is officially set between 10th and 15th of every month going forward to ensure timely delivery to over 1.27 crore female beneficiaries across Madhya Pradesh.

On April 16, 2025, approximately Rs. 1552.38 crore was transferred to beneficiary accounts starting with Tikarwara village of Mandla district.

Other Important Notes

No decisions were made in this cabinet regarding government employee promotions or pay scale revisions though these areas remain under consideration. CM Mohan Yadav stated decisions related to promotions for over 4 lakh officials will be soon addressed in future cabinet sessions.
