Kisan Kalyan Yojana keeps supporting the agricultural sector in Madhya Pradesh with a recent payment of Rs 500 crore to 83 lakh farmers. This important financial help under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana was given during the Balram Jayanti celebrations, showing the government’s commitment to farmer welfare and rural progress. The scheme, linked with central government programs, provides full support to farmers across the state.
Financial Help Under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana
On Balram Jayanti, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred the second instalment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana (MKKY) for the financial year 2025–26 directly into the bank accounts of 83 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh. This instalment is Rs 500 crore and is part of the ongoing effort to give Rs 6,000 annually to each eligible farmer under the scheme.
Since it started in September 2020, the MKKY has given over Rs 17,500 crore, helping more than 83 lakh farmers. This financial support aims to reduce input costs for farmers and increase agricultural productivity across the state.
Working Together with Central Government Schemes
The Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana works together with the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a central government scheme. Together, these programs provide a total annual support of Rs 12,000 per farmer, doubling the help and making it easier for farmers to manage their expenses.
Direct Benefit Transfer for Clear and Efficient Delivery
Funds under the MKKY are sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), making sure the financial help reaches farmers directly and quickly. This method promotes clarity, cuts down delays, and reduces leakages, making the process efficient and trustworthy for farmers.
Balram Jayanti Celebrations with Agricultural Activities
The Balram Jayanti celebrations in Mandla included a series of events focusing on agriculture’s important role in Madhya Pradesh’s economy. These activities aimed to motivate and educate farmers while showing the state’s commitment to agricultural growth.
Agri-Tech Innovations and Farmer Success Stories
Exhibitions showed the latest in agricultural technology and sustainable farming methods. Interactive sessions let farmers learn from success stories and adopt new ways to improve their yields and livelihoods.
Collaboration Across Sectors for Rural Growth
Experts from horticulture, animal husbandry, and agri-marketing sectors took part in the events, encouraging knowledge sharing and teamwork. This cross-sector approach supports overall rural development and helps farmers with a variety of resources and expertise.
With agriculture employing over 60% of Madhya Pradesh’s workforce, programs like the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana play a very important role in economic stability and social fairness. The government’s focus on combining financial help with ongoing engagement and institutional support continues to improve the farming community across the state.
