Chhattisgarh government has started a new campaign called ‘Mor Duar-Say Sarkar‘ to implement PM Awas Yojana Gramin under the Awas Plus 2.0 survey. This 15-day drive, running until April 30, aims to provide every eligible rural family with a permanent house, especially those who have not benefited from housing schemes so far.

The scheme’s tenure has been extended till 2028-29 to cover more rural beneficiaries. District Panchayat Officer Haresh Mandavi explained that the new survey will include families whose names were excluded in earlier surveys conducted in 2011 and 2018. This updated survey is crucial to reach left-out eligible households.

Field survey will be conducted using the Awas Plus mobile application. Designated village-level officials like Gram Panchayat Secretaries, Employment Assistants, and Housing Friends are appointed as enumerators. Beneficiaries can contact these personnel to ensure their inclusion if missed during the survey.

Eligibility Criteria for Survey under Awas Plus 2.0

  • Applicants should not own motorized three-wheeler or four-wheeler vehicles.
  • No ownership of mechanized agricultural three or four-wheel equipment.
  • No farmer credit card loans of ₹50,000 or more.
  • No member of the family should be a government employee.
  • No registered non-agricultural businesses in the family.
  • Family income should not exceed ₹15,000 per month for any member.
  • No family paying income tax or professional tax.
  • Landholding limits: less than 2.5 acres of irrigated land and less than 5 acres of non-irrigated land.

Those meeting these conditions are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme for receiving permanent housing under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.
