The Sindhuratna Samriddhi Scheme is very important for the development of the Konkan region. To evaluate it, a team from Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) conducted a visit to Sindhudurg district. YASHADA team’s visit to Sindhudurg
For the evaluation, the YASHADA team visited Sindhudurg district from 20 to 23 August 2025. During this tour, they inspected various parts of the district and collected information. The visit was led by YASHADA official Sumedh Gurjar, accompanied by experts such as Prasha Dasaswar, Ajit Karpe, Madhuri Gunjal, and Siddhi Molawade.

Officials involved and workshops during the evaluation
On 22 August, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of the District Collector. Officials from various departments of Sindhudurg district, members of the Sindhuratna Executive Committee, and officers from the Project Management Unit were present. In addition, workshops were organized with taluka-level officials and beneficiaries of the scheme. These workshops discussed the scheme’s successes and shortcomings, and information was collected.
Report and next steps
Based on the information gathered during the visit, the YASHADA team has prepared a detailed report. This report will be submitted directly to the State Finance Minister. Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has taken serious note of the scheme, and decisions regarding its future course will be made on the basis of the report.
