Amid the festive season of Holi and the holy month of Ramadan, Uttar Pradesh is launching an extensive initiative to benefit millions of families. Under the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana, 1.86 crore households will receive free gas cylinder refills. This significant financial support amounts to an impressive ₹1,890 crores, aiming to ease the burden on families during the celebrations.
During a special event in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed greetings and congratulations to all the beneficiaries of this scheme. This initiative emphasizes the government’s commitment to providing essential services and support to families, ensuring they can celebrate the festive season without worries.
Safety Measures and Police Alerts During Holi
In parallel to the celebrations, the Uttar Pradesh Police have issued a cautionary notice, urging citizens to refrain from introducing new customs during the Holi festival. DGP Prashant Kumar has instructed all police superintendents and commissioners to enforce strict regulations, ensuring that markets and crowded areas have adequate police presence. There will be a firm stance against any establishment of new traditions that may disrupt public safety during the celebrations.
