Particularly in Dakshina Kannada district, more than 4,000 young people are availing the scheme, which is part of the Karnataka government’s Panch Guarantee Schemes.

Current Training Participation
Despite efforts, only 44 people attended training from January to June in Dakshina Kannada, with 42 females and 2 males participating. The courses taken included tailoring and tally accounting.
Officials note that while many beneficiaries receive calls encouraging participation, only a few join the training. This low turnout calls for greater motivation among beneficiaries to utilize the benefits fully and become economically independent.
