Building a proper fence around agricultural fields often requires significant financial investment, preventing many farmers from doing so. Understanding this challenge, the Rajasthan government has introduced the Tarbandi Yojana. This scheme aims to offer financial support, enabling farmers to protect their crops more effectively against stray animals and other potential threats.
Details of the Tarbandi Subsidy Yojana
Initially, the Rajasthan government dedicated ₹50 crore for this scheme in the 2025-26 budget, which will benefit approximately 75,000 farmers. The Deputy CM and Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, confirmed that funds will be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Yojana. This funding aims to cover fencing over a total of 30,000 kilometers of farmland, thus enhancing crop security across the region.
